World Number 979 Stuns All at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Michael Stewart arrived at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship with little of the attention surrounding the star names in the field. By the end of the opening round, the 36-year-old Scot had given everyone a reason to notice him.

Stewart, ranked 979th in the world, fired a seven-under 65 at Carnoustie to share the first-round lead with Australia's Jack Buchanan.
