Yankees announce lineup vs Guardians for Monday's game
CLEVELAND - A week after the Guardians took two of three games from the Yankees, the two first-place teams meet again in a three-game set at Progressive Field.
Cleveland (37-30) owns a two-game lead in the AL Central, while the Yanks (38-26) have pulled even in the AL East with the Tampa Bay Rays, who led by 5.5 games as late as May 24.

Williams lasted 5.1 innings, yielding three runs on four hits - including home runs by Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Jose Caballero - in a 5-4 Guardians victory, which was Gerrit Cole's first defeat of 2026.
Warren was due to start Saturday's game against the Red Sox at the Stadium, which was rained out. On Sunday, the Yanks chose to stay with Cam Schlittler on his regular day, and he pitched into the sixth inning of the Yanks' 6-1 win.
Cole and Carlos Rodon are scheduled to follow Warren (7-1, 3.22 ERA) in this series, but there is rain in the forecast for the next two days - so stay tuned.
