Yankees news: Clarke Schmidt shut down for the season

CBS Sports: Yankees right-hander Clarke Schmidt tried his best, but the timing just wasn't right. According to manager Aaron Boone, the former first-round draft pick will be shut down for the rest of the postseason as he couldn't quite recover from his right biceps neuritis, the injury that landed him on the list before the end of the regular season. The focus will now shift to Schmidt being ready for the start of the 2027 campaign.
NY Post | Greg Joyce: Aaron Judge is in the middle of a battle against time and his own body to be ready for the AL Division Series. On Wednesday the captain and three-time AL MVP was in Somerset, where he was scheduled to get some live at-bats with a group of players staying ready in case they are needed, such as Luis Gil, Eli Morgan and Justin Topa. There's still a couple hurdles for Judge to clear, including running the bases, but he's got a few more days to make his case before the Yankees finalize their ALDS roster.
