Yankees Social Media Spotlight: 25 Years Later

It's Sunday once more, and you know what that means — it's time for our weekly social media roundup! This week has been a whirlwind of emotions in New York, as the Bombers celebrated the return of Aaron Judge to the lineup after 99 days on the shelf, went nuts as Anthony Volpe returned to the lineup after being recalled from Triple-A with a five-RBI game that included the team's second gram slam of the season (and the second in two days!), and, of course, wrapped up the week with an intense Subway Series matchup that began on a somber note, as the city remembered the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We begin with this week's lead story, the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Since it was such a major anniversary, the New York Yankees spent the entire week commemorating those who had lost their lives on the occasion, with players visiting fire houses and the memorial. On the day itself, the team placed a wreath in Monument Park, painted the NY behind home plate, and hosted a pregame ceremony.
