YouTube's kid accounts enable parents to choose from three content settings to control what their child can view in the app.
YouTube recently announced, "we're taking our next step in age appropriate experiences, introducing supervised kid accounts. The accounts allow young people to navigate their imagination and curiosity on YouTube with their safety, privacy and wellbeing at the forefront. They are easy to set up from the "Family Center" in YouTube settings."

These protections include reminders to "Take a Break" and to follow a "Bedtime" schedule for mindful viewing. Kids cannot create content or write comments, and personalized ads are turned off. Autoplay is also off by default.
According to YouTube, the supervised kid accounts launched on July 1, joining supervised teen accounts, which are already available to parents in the region.
